Buckhead will get a new headquarters building and is planning improvements to a portion of the park According to a press release the nature preserve at Roswell Road has been in its current building for the past years The current building has served us and our conservation and coaching partners well the release reported Unfortunately the building demands key repairs was never built for its current use and constituents access is limited The City of Atlanta has begun the planning process for the new nature center building and more details are expected to be reported later this year Blue Heron is also asking for group input through a short inhabitants survey Visitors can weigh in on what kinds of improvements would serve them best such as trail connections to surrounding neighborhoods Research Medicaid cuts could shutter Georgia nursing homes Cuts to Medicaid contained in President Donald Trump s new budget bill put Georgia nursing homes at vulnerability of closing according to a research distributed by Brown University s School of Residents Healthcare The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office released that the regulation which the Republican-controlled Congress passed this month will slash Medicaid by trillion during the next years The bill passed without a single Democratic vote in either the U S House of Representatives or the Senate Seventy percent of Georgians living in nursing homes rely on Medicaid Sen Jon Ossoff D-Ga noted last Wednesday This is a serious threat to the strength and well-being of Georgia seniors he commented Georgia nursing homes are with LifeLine Animal Project The Rotary Club of Buckhead reported a new partnership with LifeLine Animal Project dubbed the Pawsitivity Partnership Through the initiative the Rotary Club will help the Georgia nonprofit s mission to end shelter euthanasia of healthy and treatable dogs and cats throughout the state Founded in LifeLine Animal Project has grown into Georgia s largest animal welfare
